Maureen Denise McCormick, the only daughter from Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills California on 5 August 1956. Her father taught in the school system and her mom was a stay-at-home mother. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two brothers older. Beginning at a very early age McCormick was a singer and dance, and she would frequently put on puppet shows for youngsters in the area. She won her first contest, the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest when she was just 6 years old and was approached via Pat Domigan, a talent agent from the Jack Wormser Agency. He asked her if she wanted to join the business of show production. McCormick was offered her first significant job in 1964 when she appeared in a TV commercial featuring Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. The following year she starred as Chatty Cathy in a commercial and was then cast for the show Wind It Up and It's Breaks at The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, which was chosen out of 200 auditioned kids, played the third of three head-to-head daughters in The Brady Bunch (1969) with Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The show ran for 5 seasons. McCormick said in her book from 2008 Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice she almost ended her relationship in the fifth season of the show with Barry Williams, her co-star as well as her on-screen brother. She was 16 years old when she was in the scene while he was. It would have happened she said but the timing wasn't right for us.
